Short Bio
Megan Mottley is an award-winning Communications Specialist gifted in the areas of professional/technical writing, editing, magazine publishing, and social media. She’s a Single Mom, entrepreneur, daughter, sister, friend and cheerleader to all! Long Bio
Megan Mottley is a native Memphian. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis (BA English ’00; MALS ‘04). Megan launched her own magazine, DIVINE, in 2007 while teaching Language Arts at her former middle school. In 2009, Megan stepped out on faith to work on her magazine full-time and manage her very own professional writing/editing company, MTLY Communications, to assist clients with resumes, social media, and other communication services. 
In 2011, Megan launched another project, The Glamour Girl Movement, a ministry designed to transform today’s modern woman.  The Glamour Girl Movement is based on Megan’s first book, “Glamour Girl: How to Get the Ultimate Makeover”. Megan has also released several self-help E-Books including Supernaturally Single, A Glamour Girl Series for Today’s Single Woman and What’s Stopping You: A Guide To Moving Forward In Life. 
In 2016, Megan revived her passion for baking with the relaunch of Goodness Gracious Cookies. It was originally started in 2009 as a fundraiser for her first Mission Trip to South Africa. Seven years later when her daughter decided to also go on a Mission Trip, Megan raised over $5K+ in less than two months from her homemade soft & chewy cookies. Megan has continued with her efforts to raise awareness about mission trips and raise funds for global mission trips and local community efforts.
Megan has a beautiful 14 year old daughter, Kaitlin, who reminds her that every day is worth living and worth celebrating. Megan attends Life Church of Memphis where she has served on several teams including Praise & Worship, Greeters, Nursery, Angel Food, Damascus Road and Connect Group Leader. Megan is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (Epsilon Kappa Chapter). 
Megan has won numerous awards for her efforts including the 2014 Church Girls Rock Award, the 2013 Successful Single Mother of the Year Award,  the 2012 University of Memphis Outstanding Young Alumna Award, the 2011 Tri-State Defender’s Woman of Excellence Award & many more!
