Sure you cleanse your face 2-3 times per day, you moisturize and you treat yourself to a mask every now and then but how often do you take the time to exfoliate your skin?

There are tons of great products out there that will provide your skin with the exfoliation that it needs. Be sure to incorporate exfoliation into your beauty regimen every other week. You don’t want to bruise your skin by exfoliating too often but you do want to exfoliate enough to slough away the dead skin cells that hide that radiant skin that God gave you.

Although some of my favorite beauty brands have really excellent exfoliation products, I also like to make an at-home facial scrub using two of my favorite things: COFFEE & SUGAR.

1. Mix SUGAR and olive oil or coconut oil and add about two drops of honey for a luxurious scrub. Feel free to purchase organic sugar, oil and honey for an all-natural exfoliation.

2. Mix 1 teaspoon of  SUGAR in with your favorite cleanser for a quick and easy scrub.

3. Mix 2 – 3 tablespoons of COFFEE with 1/4 cup of olive oil and massage into your skin for a great pick-me-up that gets rid of those dead skin cells and an ultimate coffee fix!

4. Take slightly moistened COFFEE granules (about 1 teaspoon) and mix in with your favorite cleanser for a quick and easy scrub.

PLEASE NOTE: When using olive oil, it may take a few warm water rinses to remove from your skin due to its thickness. Feel free to substitute olive oil with coconut, almond, peanut or any oil of your choice. Try different oils out and go with what works best. Once you’ve found the oil of your choice, use it with the SUGAR or COFFEE scrub recipes above. Store your scrub mixtures in a sealable container and refrigerate. Mixtures can last up to 4 weeks.
