.:Beauty Tip Tuesday:. 6 Ways To Feel Your Best When It’s That Time Of The Month

Unless you’ve entered into the years of Menopause, each and every month you’re faced with the pain & glory of PMS!!!

If you’re anything like me the cramps, the mood swings and the food cravings can make you feel unneccesary so here are 6 tips to help you feel beautiful:

1. Drink Plenty of Water

Water is always a good thing because a huge percentage of our system is made up of water so the more that we can put back into our body the better. If you suffer from cramps, I recommend drinking room temperature water. Add some fresh fruit to perk up your water.

2. Rest

There’s no rule that says that you can’t rest especially when your body needs it most. If it’s the weekend, sleep in late. If you get home at a reasonable time, go to bed early. Give your body the rest that it needs and you’ll feel beyond refreshed the next day.

3. Take Your Vitamins

Don’t skimp on your multi-vitamins, iron pills or Vitamin B during your special time of the month. Now is not the time to slack off on the nutrients that you body needs most. Encouraging your body to understand that it’s still on its usual schedule will help YOU to feel as normal as possible.

4. Be of Few Words

If you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say it at all. During your lunch break, dive into your favorite magazine and stack a pile of them on your desk or table so your co-workers will get the hint that you don’t want to be disturbed. Refrain from getting on social media to rant about everyone and everything that you hate. Maximize on giving everyone the silent treatment and staying away from unneccesary electronic devices that will give you the platform to post something that you may later regret.

5. Cry

Our emotions can get the best of us and any little thing can set us off. During your special time of the month, do the world a favor and take some time to cry. Don’t make a scene about it just go into your quiet place (car, closet, bedroom) and let the tears drop. Crying cleanses your soul and believe it or not a good crying session can really help you push through your day.

6. Music Therapy

Once you’ve cried and gotten that all out it’s time to listen to some music. The holidays are upon us so listening to some fun holiday music can lift your spirit. You can also listen to some Oldies but Goodies to take you back to those less stressful days of your youth. Choose the best music for your mood and don’t be afraid to belt out a few notes…even at work. It may make you laugh or your co-workers!
